Computational tools for hazard and risk analysis in agro-food SMEs

These risk assessment tools for workers’ health and safety, are a general obligation of employers and companies. For four subsectors of the agrifood industry (meat products, dairy products, horticultural products and bakery/pastry products), the tools allow a simple and intuitive identification of frequent hazards and the assessment of OSH risks, and solutions are also point out to minimize them. These tools contribute to improve working conditions and the performance of companies. These tools have been validated by the Portuguese Working Conditions Authority (ACT), as Focal Point of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).
